11 Stay-At-Home Date Ideas

Who said date night has to be spent out of the house? Sometimes the best memories are made when you and your S.O. are in the comfort of your own home, surrounded by the best company imaginable: each other. If you aren’t naturally homebodies, this pandemic has most likely put a hindrance on your average nightly plans, so if you need some fresh ideas to keep date-night fun, then just keep reading!

Remember, even if your night is spent in, you can still look great while doing it. Make your at-home date feel extra glamorous with a full-on glam look complete with some killer Doe Lashes.

Getting Ready

Don’t think that just because you’re spending your date-night in means you don’t have the option to get all dressed up; this should be like any other night out. After all, what makes an at-home date-night successful is that it’s just as fun as a night out, right?

Let’s be honest, ladies—half the fun of date-night is getting dolled up anyways. Time to get out your best lashes and cutest shade of lipstick and get to glamming.

1. At-Home Movie Theatre

No, we aren’t talking about your average movie night; we’re saying have a full-on at-home theatre experience. Grab your car keys because you’ll have a pick up a few things for this one, but we promise it’ll be worth it.

Take your newly purchased phone projector and pin up a white sheet on the wall, now go and grab your favorite sweet treats, and pop open that bottle of wine you’ve been saving. You’ve now got your very own at-home-theatre.

2. Dress Up and Have a Fancy Dinner

Even if you two aren’t known for your culinary skills, there are plenty of simple dishes that anyone can handle. Don’t be scared to try something new; worst-case scenario, you mess it up
Now you have a funny story to tell and stomachs full of your favorite take-out.

Easy Go-To Meals: Spaghetti and Meatballs, Pasta with Peas, Salmon and Roasted Veggies, and Caprese Chicken Salad.

Fun, easy, and delicious, date-night can’t get any better than that.

While sweats and jammies would work just fine if you wanted to make it extra special, consider having you both dress up all fancy, and don’t be shy about it either! Do a full-on glam, complete with the best lashes and all. Pair that with your favorite little black dress, and you’ll be set.

3. Wine Tasting

Something to tie into your gourmet dinner date—start your evening off with some wine tasting. You can even turn it into a fun game, buy a few of your favorite bottles, cover up the labels and try and guess which is which.

4. At-Home Spa

A great way to wind down is by doing an
at-home spa night. What’s more relaxing than a hot bath, facials, cozy robes, and massages? You two should know each other well enough to wear cucumber glasses and rock a face-full of pimple patches.

5. Joint Exercise Class

If you’re the kind of couple that enjoys trying new things, then consider signing up for a virtual workout or yoga class together. It’s a great way to get moving without having to leave your house and an even better way to burn off all that pasta and wine you’ll be consuming later on.

6. Game Night

When it comes to getting in quality time with your special somebody, there is no better way than a good ole
game night. Head to the store and pick up some of your favorite board games or card games; now, all that’s left to do is to spend the night sharing laughs and making memories.

7. Throw a Dance Party

This might sound a little cliche, but throwing a dance party can feel super spontaneous and fun. This can be especially fun if you two take the time to learn a new dance or two. Maybe next date night, you can go out and show ‘em off.

8. Polaroid Photo Shoot

Ladies, it might take a little bit of convincing to get your man to agree to an at-home photoshoot, but just flutter your (gorgeous) lashes and ask super nicely; because this idea is a winner.

You’ve spent the afternoon getting cute for your date-night, so it’s a must to get a photo or two, and what’s cuter than some polaroids? You don’t need a fancy set-up; just have fun with it; we’re sure they’ll turn out great.

9. Make A Photo Album

To pair with the last idea, make a couple’s album with all your favorite pictures. And be sure to throw some of those polaroids in there too.

10. At-Home Painting Class

Sip and paint classes have been huge these past few years, but many have shut down or had minimal capacity thanks to this pandemic.

Who needs a class when you’ve got Youtube? Find an easy painting class, set up your supplies, and start painting. You can even get romantic by adding a glass of wine or two to the mix.

11. Trivia-Night

It’s kind of like a board game night, just a bit more niche. Not everyone is a fan of trivia nights, but if you are, you’re probably a die-hard player.

There are many trivia card sets for you to choose from at Target or Walmart, but you can also print some off the internet if need be.

In Conclusion

Whether you spend your night cozied-up in your PJs binge-watching Netflix, or you and your S.O. get all dolled up to enjoy a gourmet meal together is entirely up to you. Just make sure it’s spent with each other, and all the laughs are had, and memories are made.
